5th Grade Romero Britto Pop Art Paintings!

How much do you LOVE Romero Britto??? I just love his HaPpY style of bold color and pattern! So do my students... this post has two years of paintings. The first batch is the most recent, I focused more on choosing a favorite item, a "popular" item and drawing it large.  The last group, we looked more at Britto's landscapes and still life's. Either way, it is a fun lesson to teach! I like giving students the space to chose their own as much as possible. Britto is so inspiring,

Here are a few process pictures...

4th Grade - Keith Haring Crazy Art Folders!

Keith Haring is great for art folders... Working on a large 18x24 is perfect for a BIG space!  My fourth graders each made at least one template of their own out of tag board.  They were required to use it at least twice.  They could make more or share with their friends.  Most made 2 templates, and then there was a lot of sharing!  This is the final product, lots of color, lots of fun!!!
